DeadBolt Ransomware Eyeing ASUSTOR Devices

Deadbolt ransomware hackers crippled the networks of Asustor NAS drives users and attempted to extort 0.03 BTC for the release of a decryption key. Multiple reports indicate that the AS6102T, AS6602T, AS5304T, AS5304T, and AS-6210T-4K models are unaffected. Meanwhile, ASUSTOR is planning to release a recovery firmware that users may use to gain access to their NAS devices. This update won’t recover the encrypted files unless users have backups.
