LOCAL TRAFFIC MANAGER

Most of the deployments of the BoostEdge Telecom Edition are based on a two-ended configuration. Assuming the IPS operates a long-haul, either a submarine cable or a satellite trunk, the Local Traffic Manager is located at the downstream end of this long-haul while the Internet Core compressor is located at its upstream end.

The Internet Core Compressor is an element of the BoostEdge Telecom Edition. It is either a physical hardware single box appliance, an UltraScale multi box architecture or a DediBoost located in our optimization cloud.

The Main Traffic optimizer features is mostly related to the bandwidth management. Its role is to reduce the bandwidth consumption by applying lossless compression, various content aware optimizations, TCP optimization and connection management.

SINGLE BOX (SCALAR) INTERNET CORE COMPRESSOR

The single appliance exists in several declinationis and and is capable process from 45Mb/s up to 2.5Gb/s. This appliance fits the needs of most of the IPS which operate their own equipment in their premises.

DEDIBOOST, THE CLOUD VERSION OF THE INTERNET CORE COMPRESSOR

some ISPs may not operate their own equipment. This arises when they operate access network such as a WiMax network, MVNO, or ISPs over satellite which can not install their own equipment in the hub.

in such cases, the traffic must be forwarded to a Internet Core Compressor located in our optimization cloud.

ULTRASCALE VECTOR ARCHITECTURE

BoostEdge UltraScale Edition a carrier class scalable architecture which can handle up to 80Gb/s. It is based on a blades x roles matrix architecture. Blades are diskless they boot through the internal bus network using the PXE protocol. This makes the UltraScale Edition a highly and easily scalable incremental HTTP traffic optimization system.
